Namibia is ready to cooperate with Russian tractor-builders

18 Augest 2009

On the 6th of August a delegation from Namibia led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia in the Russian Federation Dr. Sam K. Mbambo visited enterprises of the machine-buliding holding “Concern “Tractor Plants” in Cheboksary. The delegation included representatives of the municipal authority of Rundu – the second largest town in the country. Rundu is the capital of Okavango province that is known as the  "food busket" of Namibia as well as the "door" to Botswana, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe, because all cargo is transited to the above-mentioned countries via the town. The guests got interested in prospective cooperation in various sectors of economic activity.
During the meeting with the specialists of the trading company “CHETRA-Industrial machinery” that was held at the central office of the machine-building Holding the possilbilities to deliver machinery produced by the “Concern “Tractor Plants” to Namibia were discussed. The members of the delegation expressed their interest in the Concern’s specialized trading companies participating in municipal tenders for delivery of municipal engineering machinery, they also invited the Concern to participate in an annual regional agricultural exhibition.
Negotiations with the Namibian delegation are a part of consecutive steps taken by specialized trading companies of the machine-building Holding in order to develop its export potential, though it does not exlude the priority of meeting the Russian internal market demand for the machinery produced by the enterprises.

In the picture you could see Mr. Gosbert Mandema – the mayor of Rundu, Dr. Sam. K. Mbambo – the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia in the Russian Federation, and specialists of the trading company “CHETRA-Industrial machinery” conducting negotiations at the central office of the “Concern “Tractor Plants”.
