On 27-28 November, in the 5th Interregional Forum “Strategy and Practice of Successful Business“ in Cheboksary, products of “Promtractor” JSC were awarded with the honorary diploma of the laureate of the “100 best products of Russia 2009” All-Russian competition. “Promtractor” JSC is part of Machinery & Industrial Group N.V. and is one of the biggest plants in Chuvash Republic.
For the competition there was submitted the pipelayer TG-122 developed by the Design Bureau and, on the results of the year 2008, named as the most reliable of all machines manufactured by the plant. As compared to other models of tractors, this pipelayer integrates to the fullest extent engineering solutions ensuring the high-technology standard of machines. Due to special design characteristics, the pipelayer was declared Laureate of the Competition on the decision of the Federal Commission on  Quality. As Viktor Novikov – chief designer of Main Design Bureau - noted, the machine can be equipped with two types of engines: Cummins (USA) and Yaroslavl engine plant (Russia). The radiators block ensures good ecological characteristics and electrohydraulic  control and new-designed winches provide operation smoothness. The cabin equipped with an air-conditioner and heater as well as joystick control provides operator comfort.
The pipelayer ТG-122, the most light weight one of the four basic models, is used by oil- and gas producing companies for laying pipes, as well as in construction of industrial facilities. Being included into the catalog of the “100 best products of Russia”, the machine is delivered practically to all regions of Russia and CIS countries, operates in all climatic zones.
Yury Voloshin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Ministers, Minister of Industry  and Energy of the Chuvash Republic, presented the award and expressed assurance of further success of Promtractor in the domestic market.
In the event, managers of educational institutions - partners of Machinery & Industrial Group N.V. in personnel education  and training – were also awarded. Alexander Akimov, Director of Cheboksary Polytechnic Institute, the branch of Moscow State Open University, and Aleksey Sudlenkov, Director of Cheboksary Electromechanical College, were decorated with Medals for Achievements in Quality.
