Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited “Promtractor” JSC
26 January 2010
Machine builders demonstrated to Vladimir Putin one of the most modern and high-technology manufacturing areas in Russia. Today the stock of machine tools in operation in “Promtractor” JSC consists of 3.600 units, 100 of them are machining centers (the most of them manufactured in Germany, Austria and Japan). In accordance with the holding’s program of technical re-equipment, the assembly line of CHETRA tractors was equipped with machining centers and multifunctional machines of Japan corporation Yamazaki Mazak. It made possible to cut down the labour coefficient for manufacture of 1500 units by 3-5 times, to increase manufacturing efficiency and quality of manufactured products. Alexander Rusyayev, Service engineer of Promtractor JSC, explained to Vladimir Putin peculiarities of operation of the new equipment in detail.
The Prime Minister saw new examples of competitive domestic equipment: industrial, forest and municipal CHETRA machines and agricultural AGROMASH machines. Within the bounds of the Development Strategy of the Concern Machinery & Industrial Group N.V. for 2009-2015, the machine-building group realizes the investment project “Import Replacement and Export of Russian Industrial, Forest, Agricultural and Transport Machines”. Today, Machinery & Industrial Group N.V. has the largest diversified line of domestic new-generation machinery, which is completed every year by new examples of modern equipment.
Vladimir Putin personally familiarized with the operation of GLONASS satellite systems mounted on tractors and approved their usage. “Well done”, resumed the Prime Minister and thanked the machine-builders for their effective work on modernization of production and manufacture of competitive domestic equipment, which is able to replace the best import analogues.
