The OMR cleaning machine
The OMR cleaning machine is designed to clean outer surface of linear section of a main pipeline from old anticorrosion insulation of various types (bituminous coating, tape polymer coating, plastobit –40). The cleaning is performed by a mechanical method applying cutting tools and rotating brushes of passive and active type.
The OMR is a self-propelled machine fitted with split operating elements executed in the form of hollow gears rotating in casings with the help of support rollers. Owing to “gripper-type” opening of operating elements the machine is mounted on a pipeline by means of a pipelayer keeping its structural integrity.
In comparison with known analogs the OMR has the following advantages: high working efficiency owing to time reduction for auxiliary operations, increased safety thanks to installation of explosionproof version electrical equipment, increased lifetime owing to application of high quality materials and state-of- the-art technologies in the machine design.
On the machine rotors there mounted holders for cleaning tool fastening. The front rotor and the rear one rotate clockwise in opposite directions relative to each other providing cleaning of high quality and machine stability on the pipeline.
The machine control panel is on the extended control rod, the length and mounting angle thereof being determined by trench dimensions and adjusted by telescopic elements of the rod.
In comparison with well-known this machine has the following advantages:
- High quality efficiency due to time reduction of auxiliary operations;
- High operational dependability of rotor drives due to using closed gears operating in oil tank;
- Increased safety due to installation of explosion proof version of electric equipment;
- High operational dependability of the machine and increased lifetime due to using high quality materials and state-of- the-art technologies in machine design.
The machine control panel is on the extended rod, the length and mounting angle thereof being determined by trench dimensions and adjusted by telescopic elements.
