Tracked all- terrain vehicles

Reliability, ease of operating, high cross-country abilities – these are characteristics of all- terrain vehicles known under CHETRA TM 130 and CHETRA TM 120 brand produced by “Kurganmashzavod”JSC. Tracked all- terrain vehicles are designed to be used under moderate climate with temperatures from +40 º С to – 50º С on rugged terrains. All terrain vehicles are able to transport people and various freights (universal module). They can be used also when mounting different special equipment (workshop module) and as special purpose machines (repair shop, machine for well survey, drilling and crane machine). In summer an all- terrain vehicle can be used as a repair shop, whereas in winter with module being removed it is used for transport of freight or with passenger module being mounted – for people transportation.

CHETRA TM 30 tracked machines are absolutely peaceful and purely utilitarian machinery: «chopped» cabin-saloon with large glazing area, heated engine compartment, track chains with rubber-metal hinges, metal or rubber extenders and cargo platform with canopy side body or removable technological module.

The machine is equipped with simple and reliable YaMZ -236Б turbocharged engine (produced in Yaroslavl), located in engine compartment between the cab and cargo platform.

Engine compartment is made so that there is enough space for two persons. It allows performing maintenance and minor repair of the engine in the open air and in any weather. Independent OB-65 heater, installed in the engine compartment blows hot air into the engine compartment, which is very important for machine servicing in winter. Hence Kurgan machines have no problems when operating even in winter.

Basic modification is a “truck” with a side canopy body where it is possible to install the following equipment: one or two- station welding generator, additional fuel tanks and self-loading mechanism - single rail with hoisting tacking of 1000 kg loading capacity. Module with a fitting shop, which can be mounted inside the body, is equipped with electric power station, electric gas welder set, tool kit and remote searchlights for work place lighting in field conditions. Passenger module mounted in machine body has everything required for comfortable transportation of 8 persons. And at last the fourth version of all-terrain vehicle is a machine with completely independent accommodation module appointments of which looks like a hotel room.

The main peculiarity of the machine lies in the fact that it was designed from the very beginning for civil needs such as transportation of watch teams, emergency teams, geological prospecting parties and for other transporting needs under complete impassibility of roads. All terrain vehicles are equipped with hydromechanical gearbox (HMG) and one of its advantages is gear shifting practically without power flow breaking that in its turn allows to enhance cross-country abilities, increase average travel speed and to preserve fertile layers of soil undamaged.

Noise from an engine is muffled by a power silencer located close to the engine and by engine compartment walls. Noise level made by all-terrain vehicle when traveling with switched on blowing fan and heater fan is 86 dB, which corresponds to noise level made by a truck. When developing all-terrain vehicles one made everything in order that a driver and passengers feel comfortable during independent long trip. Electric-hydraulic, “push-button” speed shifting in hydromechanical gearbox strikes with its ease and simplicity. Steering wheel type control system makes the machine easy to operate and extremely manoeuvrable. Power-consuming shock-absorbers and hydromechanical gearbox installed inside the body ensure travel smoothness and high travel speed. All-terrain vehicles took in all scientific -technical and technological potential of one of the leading Russian machine –building enterprises. Being a machine designed in particular for civil needs all –terrain vehicle has no analogues as regards comfort and passability. It is intended to be used in completely impassable places, on swamps as well as on slush earth roads. The vehicle can easily overpass water barriers. It should be mentioned that fundamentally new module concept in the domestic machine- building was realized in this all –terrain vehicle. It lies in the possibility to equip the vehicle with replaceable modules of various purposes.

  • Passengers module is fully accommodated for comfortable transporting of people;
  • Multipurpose (universal) module justifies its name for it has unique multifunctionality;
  • Workshop module is intended to be used for repair work. The module is equipped with fitting and welding equipment;
  • Laboratory for hydrodynamic well survey;

 

CHETRA TM 130 can be equipped with a unit for reclamation of soils contaminated by mineral oils during emergency repairs and overhaul of petroleum pipelines. All-terrain vehicles can be outfitted with drilling –crane unit for well drilling in frozen ground of 1-4 categories and for installation of supports when building and repairing telephone and telegraph lines and power mains.

Indispensable attribute of TM all-terrain vehicle is its ability for floating which increases its passability, since water barriers crossing for some other machines becomes insurmountable obstacle.

All-terrain vehicle crew will not get lost even in a swamp since crawler tracks developed by “Kurganmashzavod” JSC enable traveling with confidence through swamps and hydromechanical gearbox allows gear shifting when traveling nonstop through swamps, thus increasing average travel speed of the machine.
